Located within a new precinct recently rezoned, the design of the two apartments boldly lays the foundation of the future of this suburb.
Responding to the key requirement to deliver a range of housing alternatives in the area, the design delivers a total of 73 apartments offered in 1, 2 and 3 bedroom configurations. The passive design has guided the layout, resulting in 70% of all units having a northerly aspect to their living areas. The idea to split the building into 2 parts enabled this to be realised. It also encourages more green space and potential for substantial trees, a feature of the suburban area, and a key reason for choosing it as a location to live.
The building is attractively massed, ground-level areas recess to enable a floating effect of the levels over. Upper levels are recessed for larger apartments to enjoy large recreational decks and allow the sunlight to enter the middle courtyard.
The building includes 2 basement levels that contain car and storage requirements.
All aspects of Clause 58 Good Apartment Design are achieved or exceeded, in a development that delivers maximum yield, yet also enhanced amenity for residents.
