Tight site development leads development of levels above retail for maximum site utilisation

Located on a very narrow site of less than 4.5 meters width, an innovative internal light court assists the realisation of 5 apartments over the ground level retail space.

Positioned in the activity precinct of Chapel Street, these 1 and 2 bedroom apartments are designed in accordance with Clause 58 achieving good amenity, view and natural light to each.

A clever fire engineered solution is employed to make possible the 5 level development.

The existing historic façade to Chapel Street is retained, enlivened with new apartments positioned within the old part of the building.

To the rear, 2 one bedroom apartments are positioned with view and aspect to the rear.

The top level sees a 2 level three bedroom apartment, with potential for a private roof deck over.

The project exemplifies the value that smart design can deliver to tight sites.
